Carola Dewor belongs to a generation of painters who emerged from the Neue Wilden movement in the 1980s, yet whose contributions have long been overlooked. While her contemporaries gained recognition for large-scale figuration and expressive gesture, Dewor pursued a singular path: the interior as a subject of painterly investigation.

Trained as Meisterschülerin of Prof. Klaus Fußmann at the Universität der Künste Berlin, Carola Dewor's works have been collected and exhibited extensively across Germany and abroad.

Dewor has exhibited extensively since the mid-1980s — from the Museo Arte Contemporaneo and SESC Pompeija in São Paulo to the Rocca Paulina in Perugia, Galerie Siki in Saint-Louis, Städtische Galerie Schloss Donzdorf, Kunstverein Bad Godesberg, Art Karlsruhe, and Discovery Art Fair.
